Whether it's a guitar of sentimental or financial value, it can be difficult to track down a vintage pickup when it's missing.

 

Sometimes we buy an instrument that suits us, but the sound of the pickups does not satisfy us. In such cases, considering rewinding can be beneficial to improve their characteristics and warmth, while preserving the aesthetics of the instrument.

 

I therefore offer a repair and rewinding service for your pickups. My stock of wire, using period specifications, guarantees a result faithful to the original pickup for an authentic restoration.

Similarly, to improve the sound of your pickup, it is possible to change its resistance to better match your use.

 

Please do not remove the wire from the bobbin before shipping so that I can determine the winding direction and avoid any incompatibility issues with the rest of your guitar.

The average cost of rewinding a single pickup is around €60, excluding specific wire. A flat rate of €7 is applied for returning the microphone.

 

 

Steps to get your microphone repaired:

 

1/ Make contact to confirm the repairability of the pickup (provide front/back photos of the pickup, the model, the cause)

2/ If I confirm that the microphone is repairable, send it to the following address:

3/ Upon receipt of the pickup, I will issue you a quote to validate if it suits you. An invoice will then be sent with a payment link (credit card or RIB transfer, I do not accept checks)

4/ The repair time is between 4 and 6 weeks, the pickup will be returned via Colissimo with tracking
